Formerly entitled "Beyond Academia; Or, How to Escape the Grind." Written by a musicologist, pursuing a doctor of philosophy, living in the New York City Metropolitan area. This blog will include daily entries on motets from the 15th and 16th centuries, and eventually a bit of insight from my PhD on Byrd and English Catholics. Occasionally might include discussions of leftist homeschooling, liberal Christianity and politics, and other things that interest me.
